Senior Consultant, Marilee Blackwell provides all client services for Hayes Consulting. A frequent speaker and writer, she provides exceptional one-on-one consulting and teaches eyecare professionals the business side of private practice. A member of the AOA Practice Management University, Ms. Blackwell has a BBA and an MBA in finance, and is a non-practicing CPA. Marilee is accredited through the Institute of Business Appraisers (IBA) and, to our knowledge, is the only accredited appraiser who specializes in optometry.

Jerry Hayes, OD is the Owner and President of Hayes Consulting. A well-known speaker and writer, Dr. Hayes has extensive experience consulting with independent optometrists on business and financial matters. His experience also includes thirteen years as a private practice optometrist, during which time he employed three associates and sold three practices. Dr. Hayes is the founder and former owner of Hayes Marketing, Inc. and e-dr. Network, and the current owner of HMI Buying Group.
